Sweet crude oil is one of the type in petroleum product. We call it as Sweet when the crude oil contains less than 0.5 % of sulphur in it. Sweet crude consists of little part of hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide. Light sweet crude oil is used to process the kerosene and diesel. Light oil prices have been steadily increasing since 2003. At present situation, the price of the light sweet crude oil has been increased by more than 1 dollar which shows $82.50 and will have the change to go up to $82.60 in September. The steady decline in the dollar value was one of the reason for the increase in the light sweet crude oil price. According to the data of manufacturing sector, it shows the declining trend in the US economy as it brought down the other stocks and commodity products. This resulted in the dropped down of the orders by 1.2% in June. When we foresee the future prices of the light sweet crude oil in NYMEX, it clearly shows the increasing trend which will be the highest of this year.

Though the other stock market shows declining trend for other commodities, the light crude oil price seems to be in increasing mode. This is because the demand has increased since it is the resource for the gasoline and kerosene. Since the income of the normal person and activities of the industries will be back to normal, the demand for the automotive fuel will be in increasing trend only. Since it is basic for the refiners also, the quantity which they order now seems to be more when compared to past. When we think about for long term future, the light sweet crude oil may go up or down.  There are some factors which will affect the light sweet crude oil price. The price may go down when economic condition is totally fails. This will result in usage of quantity of fossil fuels, many initiatives will be taken in order to reduce the usage of this light sweet crude oil and thus will result in reduction of price too.
